Do you need to buy one or several new devices to permit your children to do their schoolwork remotely or a new laptop for S5 -S7 students (BYOD), and are you struggling with the cost? APEEEL1’s Social fund may be able to help you.

Traditionally the social fund has assisted families having difficulties financing school trips with part of the cost. Taking into consideration the current situation where in many cases several family members have to be connected to the Internet and work on a computer at the same time, many families may have to buy a new device or a printer, in order to make this possible.

For 2020-21 the school has also introduced BYOD (Bring your own device) for S5-S7 students – this means that a new laptop may need to be purchased. This can be purchased through the APEEEL1 BYOD scheme or independently.

If you have difficulties financing a new PC, laptop, tablet or a printer, which is needed for the studies of your child, who is a pupil at the European School Lux at Kirchberg, you may apply for assistance. As far as our dedicated budget line permits it, the level of assistance offered will depend on the family situation and the total income of your family. You will need to provide pay slips in order to prove this information, and after having bought the necessary equipment, you will need to provide proof of purchase.

All requests are treated with the strictest confidentiality.
